I took an Intro to Sports Photography workshop last weekend, and after 5+ years of seriously shooting landscapes, architecture, and my dogs, I felt like a complete novice.

I look forward to shooting more sports in this summer.

I went to the Grand Canyon this past weekend for a 2 day workshop, and it was my first time there. It was a great class, but I had not been shooting for a long time and I really felt it in my composition choices. I came home and decided to try to shoot every weekend now that the weather is getting better and we’re in daylight savings now.

This shot is from the last day of the workshop, in the morning, on the south rim of the canyon.
